"Replica Off-White" refers to copies of Off-White clothing, sneakers, and accessories made without permission from the brand owner. In the United States, selling or importing those items is illegal when they carry a counterfeit trademark. This page explains the term, the law, and the risks. It does not sell replicas.
What the term covers
Off-White is an Italian fashion house. Virgil Abloh founded it in Milan in 2012. The brand sits with New Guards Group, part of Farfetch since 2019; Coupang acquired Farfetch in 2024. Known lines include diagonal-stripe hoodies, the Arrows logo, the zip-tie tag on sneakers, and leather goods such as the Binder and Burrow bags.
Sellers use "replica" for goods that copy those designs and marks. Other labels on the market: "1:1," "mirror quality," "UA," and "inspired." No label changes the legal position. A bag that carries the Off-White word mark or the diagonal stripes is a counterfeit good under US law.
US legal position
- 15 U.S.C. 1114 covers trademark infringement. The mark owner can sue for damages and for the seller's profits.
- 18 U.S.C. 2320 makes trafficking in counterfeit goods a federal crime. A first offense carries up to 10 years in prison and a $2,000,000 fine for an individual.
- 19 U.S.C. 1526(e) lets US Customs and Border Protection seize and destroy imported goods that bear a counterfeit mark.
CBP publishes seizure totals each fiscal year. Apparel and accessories rank among the top categories by number of seizures.
Risks for buyers
Price is the main signal. An authentic Off-White hoodie retails from about $400 to $900. A copy at $40 does not come from the brand. Reported problems include no warranty, no returns, card data theft on checkout pages, and seizure of the parcel by customs. Resale platforms close accounts tied to counterfeit purchases.
Materials and construction differ. Public comparisons of authentic and copy items cite print alignment on the diagonal stripes, tag stitching, and hardware weight. Those markers help a buyer spot a fake. They do not make a copy legal.
Authentication markers
Authentication services check four points on Off-White goods: the neck label, the wash tag, the stitch pattern on the stripes, and the hardware finish. Off-White does not publish a public serial database, so a check rests on photos and physical inspection. No third-party service is perfect, and results are opinions, not brand statements.
What this page does not do
No seller list. No price list for copies. No agent contacts. The content covers the term, the law, and consumer risk only. Buyers who want Off-White goods have two lawful routes: full-price retail, or the resale market with a documented authentication check.
